The Royal Family International Auditions 2024

The Royal Family INTERNATIONAL AUDITIONS:

For the first time in the history of The Royal Family, they going to hold auditions outside of New Zealand for dancers to become part of The Royal Family Dance Crew for 2024.

The auditions will take place on Rome, Italy on Sunday 8 October 2023. 

To be part of the auditions dancers must attend the two days of workshops on both Friday 6 & Saturday 7 October 2023 and learn 8 routines in preparation for Sunday auditions.

If you are successful and get selected then you will be required to relocate to New Zealand at the end of January 2024 to train and perform with The Royal Family for the year. You will also be part of our Royal Family Europe Tour in October 2024 where you will return back on stage for your family and friends to see you perform live in black and gold!

This opportunity will only happen every two years in Europe so if you feel you are beast enough now then register yourself to follow your dreams and become part of the worlds most successful dance crew - The Royal Family.

WORKSHOPS:

Friday 6 October 2023 - 10.00am - 4.00pm

Saturday 7 October 2023 - 10.00am - 4.00pm

AUDITIONS

- Solos

Dancers will be divided into 4 groups prior to auditions, you will recieve an email confirming your audition date and time.

Your group will perform solos during 1 of the following timeframes:

AUDITION GROUP A | Friday 6 October 2023, 6.00pm - 7.30pm

AUDITION GROUP B | Friday 6 October 2023, 7.30pm - 9.00pm

AUDITION GROUP C | Saturday 7 October 2023, 6.00pm - 7.30pm

AUDITION GROUP D | Saturday 7 October 2023, 7.30pm - 9.00pm

- Auditions continue on Sunday 8 October 2023 from 9.00am

Auditions will be shortlisted at the following times:

11.30am | callbacks for 60 dancers

1.30pm | callbacks for 20 dancers

2.30pm | callbacks for 10 dancers

**If you are not selected, you will not be required to stay for the remainder of the day.

No spectators are allowed in at any time, these are closed auditions.

Successful dancers will be announced on Sunday 8 October 2023 at 3.30pm.

You will need to arrive in New Zealand to join The Royal Family Dance Crew in January 2024 for the next 12 months.

REGISTRATION:

You must be available on either Thursday 5 October 2023, 6.00pm - 9.00pm OR Friday 6 October 2023, 8.00am - 9.45pm to collect your wristband and audition number.

Please ensure you bring along your ID & International Audition TICKET.

If you have one, please bring along a printed copy of your dance resume to registration.

MUSIC

Dancers will need to prepare a 1-minute solo (strictly 1 minute).

Music must be edited before submitting and you cannot use your phone. 

All music must have no swearing, suggestive lyrics or language.

Music MUST be provided on USB with your name clearly labelled on it, these are to be handed in during registration.
