2023 International Auditions
Registration
Workshops & Audition fees are €200.00, these are to be paid in full prior to attendance and are non-refundable.
Each participant must complete the registration form

This event is restricted to dancers 16yrs and over as of 8th October 2023
*Guardian Waiver for Minor (under 18 years of age)
The undersigned parent or guardian (“guardian”) represents that the guardian is acting in such capacity and has consented to the child’s participation in the Workshops and Auditions and has agreed on behalf of the child to the terms of the above waiver and release of liability. The guardian further agrees to indemnify The Palace Dance Studio - Home of the Royal Family Dance Crew, from all liabilities, loss, costs, claims or damage whatsoever which it may incur because of any defect in, or lack of, such capacity to provide this consent and release on behalf of the child.
Identification
You must upload a copy of your current passport (during the registration process) which will then be verified at registration. You cannot audition if you don’t have proof of your valid passport.
Attendance
Thursday 5th October 2023 6.00pm - 9.00pm OR Friday 6 October 2023, 8.00am - 9.45am (collection of wristband and audition number*)
Friday 6 October 2023 10.00am - 6.00pm (Workshops**)
Saturday 7 October 2023 10.00am - 6.00pm (Workshops*)
Sunday 8 October 2023 10.00am - 4.00pm (Auditions***)
*You must bring your Workshop & Audition ticket with you.
**Workshops are taught at an ADVANCED level.
***You must attend the 2 days of workshops to be eligible for Auditions.
Solos
Solos will be performed on Friday 6 October & Saturday 7 October from 7.00pm - 9.00pm. Dancers will be divided into 4 groups prior to auditions (dancers will be identified by a coloured wristband). Each group will perform solos on of these evenings. This will be communicated to dancers prior to the start of the workshops.
Shortlist
On Sunday 8 October 2023, 12.30pm - auditions will be shortlisted to 80 dancers, at 2.30pm - auditions will be shortlisted to 20 dancers. If you are not selected, you will not be required to stay for the rest of the day.
Acceptance
Successful dancers will be announced on Sunday 15 October at 12.00pm (midday) on The Royal Family Instagram and Facebook page. You will need to arrive in New Zealand to join The Royal Family Dance Crew in January 2024 for the next 12 months.
If you are selected for any of our crews, you must understand and agree that all accommodation, financial, living and visa arrangements are taken care of by you while living in New Zealand. Your NZ visa will need to be for a minimum of 12 months.
The Palace Dance Studio is not a “registered training establishment” therefore we are unable to assist with Visa Applications. Neither are we able to provide letters of support or vouch on your behalf.
Music
Dancers will need to prepare a 1-minute solo (strictly 1 minute only).
Music must be provided on USB with your name clearly labelled on it and hand it in during the allocated registration times above. Alternatively, this can be emailed to royalfamily@thepalacedancestudio.co.nz Please use your name as the subject line in the email, this must be sent by 5.00pm, Wednesday 4 October 2023. Music must be edited before submitting and you cannot use your phone. All music must have no swearing, suggestive lyrics or language.

Liability and Assumption of Risk, Photography/Video Policy, Cancellation Policy
LIABILITY RELEASE AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I/We realise that participation in workshops organised by The Palace Dance Studio – Home of the Royal Family ( TPDS – HOTRF the event organiser), could result in some possible personal injury. Despite precaution being taken by TPDS – HOTRF (the event organiser), accidents and injuries may occur. By agreeing and signing this release form, I/We (the dancer/participant/parent/guardian) assume all risks related to the use of any and all spaces/venues/locations used by TPDS – HOTRF (the event organiser)
I/We agree to release from responsibility The Palace Dance Studio – Home of the Royal Family (TPDS – HOTRF the event organiser) including all choreographers, dancers, staff members, and facilities used by the event organiser from any cause of action, claims or demands now and in the future. I/We will not hold The Palace Dance Studio – Home of the Royal Family (TPDS – HOTRF the event organiser), liable for any personal injury including: scrapes, bruises, cuts, sprains, fractures, broken bones, concussions or death or any personal property damage/loss, which may occur on the premises before, during or after the workshops.
Furthermore, I/We agree to obey the workshop and facility rules and take full responsibility for my/our behaviour in addition to any damage I/We may cause to the facilities utilised by The Palace Dance Studio – Home of the Royal Family (TPDS – HOTRF the event organiser) and understand that The Palace Dance Studio – Home of the Royal Family ( TPDS – HOTRF the event organiser) has the right to remove any participant from any or all events and workshops without the refund if the participant is disruptive, rude, abusive and/or fails to comply with instructions by staff, event organisers and contracted personnel.
PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEO
- I/We understand that recording of the Workshops/Auditions is strictly prohibited.
- I give permission for my/my son/daughter’s photographs/videos to be used for publicity and advertising in The Palace Dance Studio – Home of the Royal family (TPDS – HOTRF the event organiser) in their home studio, on website and social media channels.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
In the event of an event cancellation a full refund will be issued to the buyer.
From date of purchase, ticket purchases are non-refundable or transferable.
ACCEPTANCE
By submitting this registration form and completing payment, it is a declaration of my acknowledgement that I fully understand the terms of this waiver, and have signed it voluntarily. I confirm that I am over 18 years, or if under 18 year, this waiver has been signed by my legal guardian. I agree that this waiver binds my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and successors.
